Gekko Systems’ Process Engineer David Fenrich recently completed a comprehensive service visit at Hecla’s Casa Berardi Mine in Quebec, Canada. The focus of the visit was the InLine Leach Reactor (ILR), originally installed in 2002 and still operational after 22 years.
The ILR at Hecla’s Casa Berardi Mine has consistently achieved impressive recovery rates between 95-99%, highlighting its robust design. During his visit, David Fenrich supervised a mechanical overhaul of the ILR to ensure continued optimal performance. This overhaul included the replacement of essential components for maintaining the unit’s efficiency and reliability.
