Gekko Systems’ CEO, Andrew Edmondston is delighted to welcome Metallurgist Dave Fenrich to the global technical team. Mr Edmondston noted that “the addition of more resources in the North American region is required to support Gekko’s growing installation and customer base and to respond to the rapid growth in interest in our real-time instrumentation and data-analytics services”. Based in British Columbia, Canada, Dave will bring his hands-on industry experience to offer valuable commissioning and support services to all of Gekko’s customers in North America.

Mr Fenrich holds a Bachelor of Mineral Process Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia. He began his career working with Teck Resources at the Trail Lead Smelter, where he was involved with plant optimization, maintenance planning, and improvements. He then moved to the Cardinal River Coal Mine, where he continued to work on plant optimization. Dave’s experience led him to New Gold’s New Afton mine, where he worked as a plant metallurgist, collaborating closely with Gekko Systems to optimise the mill for native copper recovery utilising Gekko’s InLine Pressure Jig. Dave moved on to work in mill operations supervision roles with the New Afton and Red Chris Joint Venture mines.
In his new role at Gekko, Dave will be responsible for providing commissioning and support services to Gekko’s customers in North America. His extensive experience in the mining industry, coupled with his knowledge of Gekko’s technology, will enable him to provide valuable support and optimise mill performance.
Dave will be attending PDAC taking place March 5-8 in Toronto. You can find him at the Gekko Booth #305.
